Founded in 1983 by David Toppin, we are a well-respected, family run agricultural engineering company.
In 1984 we became one of the first Valtra dealers in the UK (known then as Volvo BM Valmet) and we retailed the very first Valtra in the UK the same year. Although Valtra is now a well-known brand, at that time it was an unfamiliar name in the UK tractor market.
We moved to our present custom-built site at Green Lane in Langwathby in 1998, enabling us to offer repairs and sales for a full range of agricultural machinery by our team of competent, hardworking staff.
As we moved into the new millennium, 2003 was another big year for us; this was when we began our long-standing relationship with McHale, who themselves had just entered the baler market in 2002.
October 2018 marked an exciting new chapter for DW Toppin Ltd as we began our relationship with Deutz-Fahr, becoming an official dealer for one of Europe’s leading tractor brands.
Most recently, in January 2021 we welcomed the addition of Bobcat telehandlers as our newest franchise, a much-valued addition to our portfolio of quality agricultural brands.
