Vacancy: Experienced Agricultural Engineer
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working, experienced Agricultural Engineer. Flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude would fit well with the existing team. This is an opportunity to join a small friendly team that are part of an expanding family-owned business.
Duties and Responsibilities (will include, but not limited to):
- Perform diagnostics, service and repairs on agricultural equipment either workshop based or at customer premises;
- Carry out pre delivery inspections for both new and used equipment;
- Complete all administration required in a timely manner and to a high quality (job cards, time sheets, etc);
- Follow all safety rules and regulations;
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment, ensuring correct use of tools and vehicles at all times;
- As required, complete training programmes to further develop skills and knowledge;
Candidate Requirements
- Ability to perform repairs and maintenance using correct tools and equipment, following approved techniques;
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems;
- Ability to use standard computer applications, internet and manufacturers service portals;
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes;
- Proven experience in delivering exceptional levels of customer service;
- Possess high levels of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Ability to work in a busy environment, with resilience under pressure;
- Organised and able to work on own initiative to solve problems;
- Ability to work well in a team environment;
- Minimum level 2 certification or appropriate comparable as required by the role;
- Full UK driving licence;
- Willing to work additional hours at peak periods.
